This full paid course will teach you in the ins and outs of creating poetry and also constructing your own. This will help you get you poetry which is edited to a high standard and ready to pitch or self publish. You will gain an awareness of markets for your poetry as well as produce a small collection over the course.
From first drafts to final products, poetry can be a really changing form. This twelve week course hopes to demystify this for you and ensure that you have some poetry to create into a collection or start your own writing portfolio. This course will get you writing ready and allow you to have something to submit to us, or even, elsewhere. The sky is the limit after all.
This course is paid, however, The Writers Den wants to make all courses affordable, as substantial costs should not bar people from achieving their writing dreams.

Lesson One: Why should I bother outlining?

​This session will detail why you should bother outlining your work and what the advantages of the outline are. This session will also tell you about the outlining processes explored throughout this course

Lesson Two: The skeleton

​The first outlining method is the most basic and the most manurerable. This session will teach you what this method is, why its useful and help you develop your own skeleton outline for it.

Lesson Three: The insides

​This outlining method will further develop on the skeleton and give you a larger playground to work with and take your outline to new heights.

Lesson Four: The Whole body

This is the most distinct outline and therefore the one that is the best for larger narratives. With great power comes great responsibility

Lesson Five: Maneuverability with outlines

Sometimes the story calls for a deviation, a character makes a move with is better for the story, but not what writers have planned. This session will help you navigate when to deviate and when to stick to your outline and how to become flexible and use it as a guide, not a strict regiment.

Lesson Six: Outlining for collections and shorts

Taking these ideas, this session will ensure that people can effectively outine for small collections and also their own personal novel, short poetry, or other types of anthologies.

Lesson Seven: Outlining for issues

This will take the same idea for collections and shorts, and instead apply it to anthologies, which are both seasonal and not. This session wil teach you what to do in either case and help you create your own small anthology

Lesson Eight: Outlining worlds

This session will ensure that people can effectively outline worlds and their own worldbuildings. This is sometimes one of the hardest things to do, but Erica will walk you through it.

Novel notes for outlines can be a tough one to understand and even worse to execute. The idea of turning your novel notes into a fully fledged draft is daunting, but Erica J. Kingdom will walk you through it with ease and elegance, so you’ll attack your next draft with a keen eye and turn those notes into a fully fledged novel outline

Lesson Ten: Outlining for courses and developing these curriculums

Sometimes you might want to make your own course and figure out the world of education. Outlining these things can be hard and sometimes, you need a little guidance.

Lesson Eleven: Outlining for plays and radios

Outlining for stageplays and radios can be considerably different than going from a prose format such as novels. This session will teach you on how to outline for these specific things with an adaptation of the outlines already covered.
