Losing Enthusiam for editing

This week on the blog I want to go over the enthusiasm - or lack thereof - I've felt during the editing process for The Burning Throne. I will be the first to admit that although I love it, its so long and the enthusiasm for the project does dip. This is the blog post I want to show my ways of getting through the slump of the content.
Move projects
if you have more than one project then it might be best if you either create a schedule for it, write about it in a different way, or use other techniques to either start a new project and reserve it as a 'if I get bored' project or you could maybe do some freewriting, which leads me onto that as its own bullet point.
Personally, I always have a secret project that I can't tell you about that is in the works and I pivot. Ask yourself if the story or the scene doesn't help your motivation or is it something external. If you need help with making scene ideas, ask yourself what the most dramatic thing you could do to your character is and then do it. I'm going to write a post on doing this soon, as it can be quite difficult to get your head around.
Freewriting
Make sure that you open up a document and just write whatever comes to your mind. don't worry about it making sense, just write. I'll do a blog post on this soon, but writers hate the blank page and this helps get over that.
Put Music on
For some people this can seem like something of a nightmare and whilst I agree, there is merit to letting the music guide your writing and creative process - maybe it will spark a new idea for a scene? Maybe a snippet of dialogue? I want to make it clear that writing in or out of silence is different and I go through phases where I want to and others where I don't.
